Supplier Diversity Program Development

As our population becomes increasingly diverse, the inclusion by major corporations of minority- and women-owned businesses as suppliers and “second-tier” contractors is essential to maintain competitiveness on both a national and international scale.

PCC has designed and/or assisted in the implementation of supplier diversity programs for a number of major corporations.

Our approach includes the following components:

  1. Assessment of the client’s corporate culture and procurement procedures.
  2. Develop internal policies and procedures to enhance the utilization of minority-owned firms in the client’s procurement activities.
  3. Analysis of the types of contractual opportunities available with the client.
  4. Design an informational and outreach campaign aimed at diverse communities (including representative organizations) appropriate to the available contractual opportunities.
  5. Assist in implementation of the information and outreach campaign.
  6. Act as liaison between client and minority vendors as needed.
  7. Report to the client on a periodic basis.
