Supplier Diversity Program
Development
As our population becomes increasingly diverse, the
inclusion by major corporations of minority- and women-owned businesses
as suppliers and “second-tier” contractors is essential
to maintain competitiveness on both a national and international
scale.
PCC has designed and/or assisted in the implementation of supplier
diversity programs for a number of major corporations.
Our approach includes the following components:
- Assessment of the client’s corporate culture and procurement
procedures.
- Develop internal policies and procedures to enhance the utilization
of minority-owned firms in the client’s procurement activities.
- Analysis of the types of contractual opportunities available
with the client.
- Design an informational and outreach campaign aimed at diverse
communities (including representative organizations) appropriate
to the available contractual opportunities.
- Assist in implementation of the information and outreach campaign.
- Act as liaison between client and minority vendors as needed.
- Report to the client on a periodic basis.
