Glenn Named Women-owned Business Champion of the Year by U.S. Small Business Administration

Seattle, WA -- Regina Glenn, president of Pacific Communications Consultants Inc. in Seattle, has been named a Women-owned Business Champion of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. In business for more than 20 years, Glenn has established a reputation for advocacy and action in the small business community.

PCC specializes in enabling clients to communicate effectively with diverse communities. The firm provides management training, community relations, public outreach and supplier diversity services. Her clients include Sound Transit, Bechtel, Bechtel-Jacobs, Carter Burgess and the King County Housing Authority.

Glenn was tapped for recognition by the SBA Seattle District Office for her support and advocacy of small-business owners and ownership. An independent panel of judges selected the winners based on several criteria, including staying power, business growth, response to adversity, innovation and leadership.

“I am honored to receive this recognition from the Small Business Administration,” said Glenn. “This award puts the spotlight not just on me but on the hundreds of small businesses like mine that are led by women and not only contributing to the community but thriving and giving back in significant ways.”

Glenn has an MBA with a concentration in management and marketing, and has participated in senior executive programs at Harvard University. She is the Alumni President of Advanced Management Education Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She is a member of the Northwest Minority Business Council.

“Regina Glenn is the consummate lemonade-maker. Over the years, I know personally how she has advocated for all our Bechtel/Jacobs Partners, so I can imagine that she has helped many, many other emerging firms across the city and region,” said Linda Miller of Bechtel.

She has conducted and facilitated hundreds of public and organizational meetings throughout the Puget Sound region ranging from spirited public meetings relating to major public works and transportation projects to retreats for groups such as the King County Civil Rights Commission. Ms. Glenn is also the founding publisher of Diversity Business News, the Pacific Northwest’s first business publication devoted to diversity in the marketplace.
